Manchester City have extended their lead over Leicester to seven points in the Premier League following a 1-0 win at the King Power Stadium.
Pep Guardiola named a strong team to face the Foxes including Kevin De Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte. David Silva dropped to the bench while Riyad Mahrez replaced Gabriel Jesus in the starting XI.
Leicester started brightly and Jamie Vardy rattled the post following a Laporte mistake. A glorious chance fell to Ilkay Gundogan but the German fluffed his lines.
After the break, City were awarded a penalty following VAR review for handball but it was missed by Sergio Aguero – the fourth spot kick missed in a row for City.
Nevertheless, Jesus off the bench netted the only goal of the game to seal three points following a mazy run from Mahrez against his former club.
