A chieftain of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) has confirmed that the football house have already made move to lure rising Arsenal teen star Bukayo Saka, although the approach is a lot different from the way they have gone about the other players who have pledge allegiance to the Super Eagles.
Saka has already represented England at various youth levels and he is still a part of their U20 set up but his form has led to talks of a call up to the senior national team of England with many seeing him as an option at left back.
Operating in an unfamiliar role, he has impressed mightily and Nigeria are willing to push for his services and they hope for a better response than last time out when they failed in their attempt to lure the duo of Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori.
” We have our way of approaching these players now. It’s not the same method with Abraham and Tomori. Lessons learnt from that move means we have now know how not to make same mistake with Saka”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” All I can say is we will do our best to have Saka play for Nigeria but the decision is for him to make. He is 18 so that means his family will have a say in his decision making, we hope they back our intention to have him in our team”.
