Manchester United are through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup following a comfortable victory over Derby County.
In what could have been a potential banana skin as they came up against club legend Wayne Rooney, United put in a professional performance and never looked like losing.
The opening goal came from an unlikely source as left-back Luke Shaw scored only his second goal for the club with a bouncing drive that looped into the net, though it did appear to take a nick of Jesse Lingard.
Then Odion Ighalo took centre-stage with as he bagged a brace, the first coming as he held off two defenders before poking into the bottom corner and the second a clinical lashing into the roof of the net after his first goal bound effort was blocked.
Attentions will now turn to Sunday’s Manchester derby.
