Mo Salah has been labelled as ” Liverpool ‘s best signing of the last decade” after he marked his 100th appearance for the club with a goal.
The Reds saw off Bournemouth 2-1 at Anfield thanks to goals from Salah and Sadio Mane.
It was the Egyptian’s 70th strike of his Liverpool career which gives him an incredible strike rate since joining from Roma.
Torres and Luis Suarez which has led to Danny Murphy heaping praise on the 27-year-old.
“Mo Salah is a unique player,” the pundit told TalkSport . “To score this many goals so quickly from that wide position is sensational.
“To compare him to strikers is difficult because he doesn’t play centrally, but to achieve what he has so quickly from a wide role is a better achievement than what any of the strikers at Liverpool have achieved.
“He’s probably been as good a buy for Liverpool as anyone over the last ten years.
“I know Luis Suarez was sensational, but Salah’s consistency and his durability as well, he very rarely misses games.
“And he’s so unassuming, he goes about his business so under-the-radar. He’s not flash, he doesn’t do any silly provocative celebrations, he just keeps banging in goals.”
Salah’s exploits mean he has scored more goals in his first 100 appearances than Sergio Aguero with only Alan Shearer above him.
And although Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are greatly adored Murphy is confident Salah is similarly thought of on Merseyside.
