Doha 2019 IAAF Bronze Medalist Ese Brume has revealed that she will pick an Olympic gold medal ahead of $10m if she is offered a chance to pick either of the two.
In an Instagram Live chat with The PUNCH on Friday, African long jump champion Brume said, “I will choose an Olympics medal; it’s an honour to win an Olympic gold medal and being an Olympic gold medalist will also open doors to many more opportunities for me.”
She also opened up on her personal experiences with the opposite sex, saying she never had any relationship while in secondary school.
When our correspondent asked the 24-year-old how she felt when she was first wooed by a man, she answered, “I was in high school then, but I never had any relationship. I was about 14 years and in SS1. I was happy, the way any woman would feel.”
The 2014 Commonwealth champion said she wasn’t after any particular qualities in a man she desired to marry.
“He just needs to be God-fearing and promising, once he has that, he has everything. I am not looking at his skin colour or height,” the former African junior champion, who is currently studying in a Cypriot university, added.
“What is important to me is how I can become a better Ese in my sporting career. If I am good today, what man would not like me, who doesn’t like success?”
