FC Nantes coach Christian Gourcuff has praised Moses Simon as “a good choice” as the Super Eagles forward closes in on a permanent transfer to the Ligue 1 club.
Simon enjoyed a successful loan spell at Nantes from La Liga side UD Levante this past season and he could soon complete a permanent transfer to the French club.
“We soon realised that he would be a good choice, Gourcuff told RMC Sports.
“I didn’t know him at first, but his track and qualities are great
“From the moment there was an option to buy it, we had no doubts.
“The player himself also said that he wanted to stay. I don’t know the details, but I never doubted the purchase option.”
Nantes president has already said they will trigger off the option to buy the former KAA Gent star for five million Euros.
The 24-year-old left winger netted nine goals and provided eight assists in 30 games in all competitions before the season in France was called off on account of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
