Brescia have terminated Mario Balotelli’s contract after the striker failed to turn up for training.
Il Messaggero, Gazzetta dello Sport and Nicolo Schira all state Brescia owner Massimo Cellino sent Balotelli a letter requesting a dissolution of his three-year deal.
Although the contract runs until 2022, there is a break clause at the end of the season if the Rondinelle are relegated to Serie B.
As per La Gazzetta and Schira, no legal action is necessary as the termination was negotiated with the 29-year-old’s lawyers.
‘SuperMario’ only signed for his hometown club last summer after four years in France with Nice and Olmypique Marseille.
