Manchester United had a first-team squad friendly today and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pitted Bruno Fernandes against Paul Pogba.

As Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prepares his Manchester United side for a return to action, he played a friendly at Old Trafford.

There was no visiting team, just a selection of 22 players from the first-team squad playing against each other.

So many United fans can’t wait to see how much devastation Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba can cause playing together.

However, the Norwegian tactician pitted the two midfield genius’ against each other.

Pogba was in the red of the home side, with Jesse Lingard and Nemanja Matic in his midfield three and Marcus Rashford up front.

While Fernandes was on the away side with Fred and McTominay partnering him in the midfield and Anthony Martial as a striker.

There was no word from United as to who came out on top.

But it appears that Solskjaer is working out the fine details as he prepares his side for one final assault on a top flour place, the FA Cup and the Europa League.

The Red Devils boss will no doubt be taking notes as to possible changes that need to be made at the end of the season too.
