Mexico head coach, Gerard “Tata” Martino, has told Raul Jimenez to join Manchester United in the future.

The Wolves striker has netted 15 goals in the Premier League this season, with his club five points off a Champions League place.

Juventus have been suggested as a possible destination for Jimenez, but Martino feels the striker will fit better at Old Trafford.

According to him, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not have a specialist No.9 in his squad.

“There are many forwards like [Marcus] Rashford, [Anthony] Martial and the boy who now plays as right-winger,[Mason] Greenwood but since Romelu Lukaku left I can’t see a pure number nine like Raul.

“At Juventus, he will have more of a fight because [Cristiano] Ronaldo shares the inside of the pitch with whoever plays alongside him, with [Paulo] Dybala or with [Gonzalo] Higuain and maybe he has a tougher fight there,” Martino said on ESPN show Futbol Picante.
