Good news for the Catalan giants as Frenkie de Jong and Junior Firpo participated in the Blaugrana’s group training ahead of their upcoming clash with Real Valladolid and they now stand a chance to take part in the game.
De Jong picked up a calf injury in Barca’s first fixture against Mallorca after the restart of La Liga while Junior didn’t feature in the last two fixtures due to a hip problem.
The Catalan giants will take things gently with the duo in order to avoid taking unnecessary risks with the Champions League return in the corner.
De Jong has been key to Quique Setien’s side with his outstanding style of play while Junior has managed to step up when called upon to replace Jordi Alba.
The Blaugrana side is finally having their full squad at their disposal with only Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembele ruled out as they are hopeful to reclaim the La Liga trophy for the third consecutive time and as they also look to go ahead in the Champions League.
