David Alaba is reportedly offering himself to FC Barcelona, as he looks to leave Bayern Munich.
As per reports, the Austrian has turned down contract extension with the Bavarians which would let him move on a free transfer next season and hopes to settle for a new challenge at the Camp Nou.
The Blaugrana feel it will be difficult to sign him this season, in part because of the losses incurred after the coronavirus pandemic.
The 28-year-old has been said to be on the Catalan-based club’s radar for a long time, in part because of his ability to play multiple roles apart from fullback, such as central defender and midfielder. And, it has also been rumored that Alaba has wanted to join the Catalans for a while now.
He is said to be asking for 20 million euros per year from Bayern, although he is willing to lower that demand for clubs such as Barcelona.
He’s made 38 appearances for the Bayer Munich across all competitions so far this season, registering two goals and two assists to his name.
