Martin Odegaard has now tested positive for Coronavirus, according to club reports.
The latest round of PCR tests at the club has seen all negative.
It was reported that he tested positive after the club’s league opener against Real Sociedad on Sunday – but that a false positive as the latest round of result have all come back negative.
“Real Madrid inform that after the last COVID-19 tests carried out on our football first team and the coaching staff, all the results have come back negative,” a club statement read.
This means that Real Madrid’s squad can return to training as normal on Wednesday.
Odegaard must still pass one more test before he is allowed to return to training, but he should be able to return to Valdebebas later in the week and then he should be available to play against Real Betis at the weekend.
