Antonio Rudiger looks ‘set to leave’ Chelsea after Frank Lampard left the centre-back out for each of his side’s three games of the season, according to The Telegraph’s Matt Law.
As per German outlet Kicker, Barcelona and Rudiger’s former club AS Roma have joined the race for the wantaway defender. Barca appears to have found a new centre-back option.
Both sources are of a tier-1 reliability so there’s probably some truth behind the Catalans’ interest in the 27-year-old, who has found himself below the pecking order with the likes of Kurt Zouma, Fikayo Tomori, Andreas Christensen and Thiago Silva.
The German is now valued at €40m by Transfermarkt, but there’s a possibility of the German joining the Blaugrana on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
