David Alaba’s transfer talks with Real Madrid have come to a halt as the Austrian star demands a higher salary than that of captain Sergio Ramos, Goal report.

The 28-year-old wants to exit Bayern Munich on a free transfer at the end of the season with the Los Blancos said to be frontrunners in securing his signature as he has always wanted to play for the Whites.

Alaba, however, demands a €13m-per-year paycheck at Real Madrid while the club’s captain and highest earner Sergio Ramos earns only €12m a season.

As things are, the LaLiga giants set to offer €10m per year for the Austria international and it is believed that the issue of his total wage per year is the major reason of his decision to leave Bayern.
