Nigeria’s squad to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt have finally received their bonus from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The Super Eagles squad finished third in the competition, beating Tunisia in the third-place match, but they never received their bonus for each match played.
Sportingrave had earlier reported that the players had not received a match bonus since their loss to Algeria in the semifinals of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The NFF is also yet to pay the team’s head coach Gernot Rohr and goalkeeping coach Alloy Agu a backlog of salaries.
However, according to BBC’s Oluwashina Okeleji, the NFF has finally paid the players that went to 2019 Afcon their bonus, although it’s not clear if Rohr and Agu have also received their salaries.
