Former Inter owner Massimo Moratti has praised manager Antonio Conte on his work and said he has ‘created an environment and a way of playing suitable’ for Serie A.

Antonio Conte is on his way to winning his fourth Scudetto and they could clinch the title this weekend against bottom side Crotone.

The former Inter owner doesn’t want to get ahead of himself until it is mathematically safe.

“The Scudetto would arrive after some time, it would be necessary to maintain the international character. The points, due to superstition, are never counted, we are waiting for the mathematics to prove us right,” Moratti said in an interview with Radio Marte.

“It seems to me that the team is absolutely in a very positive situation. Conte has been very good; he created an environment and a way of playing that made the team very strong and suitable for the championship.”

“He arrived as a former Juventus player, but he is very serious and a very capable professional.”

If the Nerazzuris secure league glory, it will be Conte’s first trophy since leaving Chelsea and the ninth of his managerial career.
