Enyimba winger Anayo Iwuala has admitted that the Aba Elephants are under huge pressure ahead of their final CAF Confederations Cup game against Orlando Pirates of South Africa.
A tight final lap and a seemingly perfect photo finish await as final group A games in the CAF Confederation Cup is on the horizon with matchday six fixtures this midweek.
Enyimba will host South African club Orlando at the Enyimba Stadium in Aba on Wednesday and The two-time African champions must win the match to avoid elimination from the competition.
The first group meeting between both sides last month in Johannesburg ended 2-1 in the favor of the South African and are Enyimba will be determined to get their pounds of flesh.
While speaking with the club’s media ahead of the game, Anayo Iwuala who won the penalty for the equalizer in Johannesburg said, the team is under pressure, but he remains optimistic about their chances of getting the needed results.
“It’s a must-win for us, we need to suppress the pressure a little bit, and we have to work together to make sure we get the win in any way we can. With the position of things now it’s more pressure for us, in a way, but we don’t have any choice other than just to look for a way to get the win come Wednesday night,” he said.
Enyimba are currently third on the Group A standings with six points from five matches played.
