Tammy Abraham’s departure from Stamford Bridge is now imminent as Chelsea set £40 million asking price for his transfer.
Lack of game time for Tammy Abraham has been confusing, especially when you consider Timo Werner has only scored three goals in 27 games since November 7 – and one of those was against Morecambe.
Abraham has only made four appearances under Thomas Tuchel but still finds himself as the club’s top goalscorer this season, with 12 goals in 31 games in all competitions.
His goals-per-90 rate of 0.71 is more than twice as impressive as Werner’s 0.3 but it has counted for little in recent months, as Tuchel has more often than not opted for Werner or Kai Havertz through the middle.
So it will come as no surprise to hear that Chelsea would be willing to sell Abraham this summer if a club was to make an offer in the region of £40 million, according to Matt Law in the Telegraph.
