Leeds United, at the moment, are frontrunners in the chase to sign Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo, as per ESPN.

Leeds United have intensified negotiations with Barca over the last few days and the left-back is keen on making a move to Elland Road.

Barcelona and Leeds United are still negotiating the structure of the deal. They need to agree on a transfer fee and on whether the Premier League side secure the signature of Junior Firpo via outright buy or on loan with a clause to make the move permanent next summer.

Barring any surprises, he is expected to move to Leeds United for a fee of €15m.

Although, he is a target for Italian clubs such as Milan and Napoli, Leeds look the most likely to sign him.

The Barcelona second choice left-back has not enjoyed much game time as he would have expected playing just 18 games across all competitions scoring just once and providing one assist spending most of his time coming off the bench.
